You know - so you can link your streams account and your mastodon account and your pixelfed account. There were a couple of issues with it at the time (this was five years ago). But I just didn't put enough controls on it. So your streams account could be the central coordinating account or some fediverse project I never heard of could provide that role. We don't really care what technology is used to link the accounts. Could be OAuth or OWA or rel-me or DIDs. And for each of these linked accounts, offer a decision so that they automatically boost or attach and resend locally. anything sent from that identity. Or not. And send your posts/comments from this identity to that identity. Or Not. And Bob's your uncle. Cheers. -
silverpill (silverpill@mitra.social)'s status on Saturday, 15-Apr-2023 23:23:34 JST silverpill @mike I came to a similar conclusion, that linked accounts is a proper way to implement nomadic-identity-over-AP, and the exact method of linking doesn't matter much. I prefer DIDs, but Mastodon's "move account" feature also based on the idea of aliases.
