   I'll probably share some more of my favs from the last year next week, but as a #BestOf2022 entry, I'll start with this article for @TexasObserver where I took on a little of the New York Times shitty reporting about #trans kids. The #NYTimes story I'm responding to was so bad, the state of #Texas used it as evidence in their attempt to redefine #transgender healthcare as child abuse. https://www.texasobserver.org/emily-bazelon-transgender-healthcare-debate-new-york-times/

   The author would never respond to my questions, and actually deleted almost all her tweets about the story shortly after this came out. I'm proud of my work here, which was greatly improved by @gabrielarana's editing and support. While I know this is a drop in the ocean when it comes to bad #journalism about trans folks, I'm glad that TXO gives me a platform to push back from time to time.
