   A quick #update: We’re lucky our newsroom is able to take a break between now and the new year so that our team can recharge. As we shut down our laptops we hope you all don’t mind a brief, earnest reflection…

   We joined Mastodon in November, like many, as part of the #TwitterMigration and couldn’t have imagined how quickly our community would grow. We’re lucky to have met so many new readers, newsrooms like @TexasObserver, and @jeff who keeps our instance running. We know it’s no easy feat!
