I had a similar moment when I used to chew tobacco since we couldn't smoke in the barracks. I spent an entire Saturday sitting at my desk watching some movies all day and all night, drinking cheap beer, and using an empty can as a spitter. About a rack and a half in I had a desk covered in dead soldiers and reached for what I thought was my beer and took a massive gulp of spit that had been sitting on my desk in 100+ temps all day.
