   This is the meadow that keeps on giving.

   Just one bird playing in it right now, but I have no idea what kind it is.
   So that's prompted me to grab my camera and get a photograph, so I can look it up later.

   Keeping count so far, that's:
   - The joy of watching birds play in it.
   - I just picked up a camera that I've barely touched in the last few years. That's the first step towards taking up photography again.
   - I'm about to learn more about birds.
   - We're no longer wasting water by irrigating lawn-grass.
   - The neighbours' cats have started hanging out there from time to time. For some reason they seem mentally blind to what's behind a window, so they're totally unselfconscious about playing there.

   It could use a little weeding, but overall, I'm calling it a win so far.

     @gothnbass my yard is home to several species of bird (not including my flock of poultry and waterfowl). It's such a lovely soundscape. I wish I still had a good camera.
