   i will never understand how you apply "game balance" to minecraft, like isn't the point to be as creative as possible why the fuck do you need balance

     @gamer there's actually a game mode with monsters and stuff, and some material has to be rare, but yeah, it probably ain't the hardest to "balance"

     @coolboymew@shitposter.club yeah but in 15 mins you can prolly find a village that makes most monsters not a problem. like what are we balancing here, time to endgame? and like, why is this concept of balance the reason why they refuse to implement stuff like a central storage system? minecraft balance is strange and i don't understand it

     @gamer @coolboymew i hated worldgen just adding more chests full of rare stuff, it's a game about crafting cool things not just raiding premade crap. still the only way to make saddles is finding them. for balance? if moving quickly through the world was OP, why is it so easy to make boats??

     @why @gamer @coolboymew When the only design philosophy is adding more stuff you get bloat like minecraft. They didn't even consider whether adding three more useless stone types (??????) was a good idea, they just wanted MORE THING
