Anybody have a good non-sweet cornbread recipe that’s kinda gritty? Just got a TON of honey to put on it

You shoud try it with honey. Best of the old Mississippi family recipes Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

DE (de@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 14-Apr-2023 00:03:17 JST DE @tyler @sparky @WashedOutGundamPilot Tallow is the single geeatwst cooking ingredient God jas graced us with.
Tallow saw me avoid starvation in times of scarcity by grace of God, made pleasant meals out of what would have been musery.
Nice little oil/butter alternative especially when you can get the beef fat normally discarded for freeWoggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -
Tyler (tyler@1611.social)'s status on Friday, 14-Apr-2023 00:03:21 JST Tyler I literally have 7 gallons of rendered tallow I need to use. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks repeated this. -
sparky ⚓ (sparky@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 14-Apr-2023 00:03:22 JST sparky ⚓ @WashedOutGundamPilot Bacon grease would probably be too greasy, and it takes like a wholepound to get enough. I buy tub lard at the store and use it 1:1 with anything calling for crisco or vegetable oils. Render my own beef tallow from brisket trimmings.
