     In an ideal world we'd just start vocational schooling much earlier rather than teaching calculus to students who might be smart enough for it, but just want to work on cars.

     @wildgoose @DW2 The idea behind teaching calculus in public schools was so the kids who really did *get it* would be ID'd, hoovered up by elite colleges, and eventually find their way into engineering departments for the military industrial complex.

     More factory work needs to come back as well. A huge issue of value for dumb people is the lack of meaningful work. Building furniture is certainly more rewarding than doing stock at a supermarket. But there's just so little we build in America anymore; and most of it is pretty demanding (corroborators, washing machines, cars and tractor parts)

     @DW2 I had a group of three people that I was doing a presentation for in college who didn't know what the word pseudo means. And didn't understand the philosophy of Buddhism and didn't even know an obvious depiction of Jesus was it's really depressing.

     But I can't deny that he is right most people are fucking stupid and a waste of money for education.
