   as for me, i'm not necessarily against mascots as people or humanoid fantasy creatures. but only when they fit the theme. but i really prefer the software not be humanised.

     e.g the mascot for cuteOS (my zombie project) is a puppy. because puppies are cute, and because kitty already claimed a kitten as a mascot.
