   Every time a slur is banned society becomes worse. Ban "nigger" and crime rates spike, rendering urban environments uninhabitable. Ban "cunt" and you get a bunch of empty egg cartons screeching about their vaginas. Ban "faggot" and you get drag queens grinding on small children. And ban "retard" and society's collective IQ drops roughly 15 points.

     @anonaccount Words have power. Slurs are viscerally powerful gut punches when used to call out disgusting, antisocial behavior. I do think there's some psychological effect giving more confidence to certain groups to act out when they know they won't get called out in harsh terms.
