   Cool poast, cool interview. When you gain exposure to other languages it’s really striking how much breadth english has. You have so many different characters you can make from just simple word choice, so much variation, it’s like having a billion different unique building blocks instead of a million. You can make more interesting forms and structures if you know how to use them.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot the only book on English literature I've read is a collection of his lectures: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16173838-professor-borges
     
     They're short, but interesting. For whatever reason he became deeply interested in Old English later in life, and there's a relatively oversized section on Old English stuff and not much on Middle or Early Modern.
