Someone sent a vintage, 20-year old rip of a VHS tape of a funky old plane with an email saying “hi I wanna buy this do you have one?”
Niggerwallop how the heck am I gonna identify this thing from this garbage?

I know it’s gonna be a funky WWI kit of some sort, there’s no way it’s certified, so it could be anything. I’m not going to go sift through 50 different shed builders to see which one it is, all so we can tell him he’ll have to build one on his own. Even IF we had one to line up, he’d nickle & dime us and we’d get maybe $100 for our trouble
@eee I bet the kit is less than a new corolla. These things are very simple, just time consuming to make the rigging
@wildgoose The holes in the front, skinny wheels, and shoulder mounted wing make me think it’s gonna be a great war replica of some sort. I don’t know them well, something like a “Mancey Puplet” or a “Fokker DRIV-VRIVR-III”
@wildgoose They’re supposed to send the vid in full so who knows
@eee That’s a cool kit. Better than the shit walmart’s using for their delivery program
I’m gonna tell him it’s an eindecker and call it a day. Seems like a likely candidate
Forgot how old-fashioned this scene is. This company offers pics of their kits with a warning that “they take a long time to download! They’re almost 3 megabytes! If you’d like send me 3 dollars and I’ll send you a CD rom with all of them instead!”
Ah it’s just so cute and quaint, and all the pics are mostly the same.
THIS is what you wanna see when you buy a plane, this guy’s doing it because he LOVES it.
