    Under AGPLv3, Copyright Attribution and modification dates must be copied verbatim under all copies of the program. Git commit information is used in practice in lieu of Copyright Notices and modification dates added to file contents, due to practical considerations. Many of the improper cherry-picks and squash-merges on this repository violate this requirement, making this software fork non-compliant of the AGPLv3 license, opening it up to litigation. Each modification (in this case, Git commit) must match its appropriate Copyright Attributions and modification dates.
