   I'm finally trying xmpp for the first time, but I don't really know what I'm doing. I like matrix but everyone and their nan seems to have a problem with. Using a tui called profanity and it does have a learning curve.

     Well I have my normie friends, (windows, discord, tik-tok, snapchat telegram iphone shit), then I have my autistic tech nerd friends (linux, bsd, big tech bad, irc matrix xmpp, won't click on a soundcloud or youtube link). It's all very tiresome...

     @charlie_root @meso people will hook up everything they can to weechat. I think the xmpp plugin can't send files or something but it has omemo so mostly usable
