   I think I've been doing too much programming recently. I was writing a story about a witch and a quest to rescue a princess from a dragon, and I looked up the grammar for how write actions happening mid-sentence like I was checking the documentation of the programming language I was using to verify the syntax

     like "I can't remember, does lua use <> or ~= for not-equal? I'll check" but instead it's "Hey google —" she said, as the computer screen lit up "— how do I write something happening mid-sentence?"

     it's just like the other ones, except instead of instructing a computer to do something, it makes a human feel something.
