@arstechnica Elon musk favors anything that Elon musk can be paid for instead of someone else

@arstechnica He simply cannot tolerate the fact that he does not earn money from the ISS, or that it is not HIS space station
btw. @dlr_next irgendeinen Kommentar dazu?

@arstechnica "There are some plausible explanations for why Musk would seek to end the life of the space station early. His statement about "Let's go to Mars" implies that the money presently being spent on the space station should be repurposed toward human exploration of Mars." as I said

@arstechnica
The Starship architecture #Musk create to lift more and more #Starlink litter is only marginally capable of taking humans to Mars and back.It must be refueled multiple times in orbit before it can leave orbit for the Moon, much less Mars.
The vehicle can't leave Mars without being refueled by automated propellant manufacturing and storage facilities *built and operated prior to human arrival*.
And Musk has a contract to destroy #ISS and wants to sell us a new space station.

@arstechnica - human "exploration" of Mars, would, given the technology we possess likely through at least the next 2 decades, involve sending a small crew to land, and then relatively quickly, die there. While I am sure some volunteers could be found to suicide themselves for this mission that is way better tasked to robots, I'm not convinced it is ethical to enable them to do to themselves in such manner.

@arstechnica What are the odds that the person who would profit from such a pointless endeavor would recommend such a course of action?

@arstechnica not mentioning that this is Musk having a tantrum after being corrected on Twitter is journalistic malpractice.
