     So we went to the DMV a few weeks ago to get WA licenses. We had WI licenses that were RealID (has a special star on it).
     
     My wife asked them if the normal license was a valid RealID you can fly with but I can only guess the employee was ignorant or thought she said "real id" (vs a fake id? lol) and said yes.
     
     The employee was wrong. Or stupid. Whatever.
     
     When I got mine and they asked if I wanted an "Enhanced ID" I asked a similar question and they seemed confused. It was way more expensive ($100+) and they asked if I consent to it having an RFID chip in it. Yeah, whatever. Give it to me. I'll pay.
     
     So mine is a legit RealID that can be used if/when they actually require it for domestic flights but hers is not. So now we gotta go back to the DMV because I do not want to carry passports around unless I feel it necessary.
