@kilostere ditto, my Linux Mint always had problems and I don't even know how to fix it, Arch though has been a breeze. I only spent like a couple minutes in the terminal and use it just like the average guy using windows, never broke anything. -

@MK2boogaloo @kilostere I remember reading some lunix shill thread on /v/ when I was still looking into moving from win7
it had all the routine bullshit including "just install arch" and the "no arch is too hard" reply and then the guy said "arch is not hard if you can read and follow simple instructions", and this was before it had the install script
then arch was my first ganoo linux install and it was fine. I think he was right and niggers just can't read -

@kilostere @MK2boogaloo shoutout to the time I had to use the flatpak version of steam on mint because it absolutely refused to let me install the lib32 tree that's needed for playing a lot of games.
Other than that with those versions of linux it's mainly just needing to update your kernel for newer drivers. I never really had any big issues aside from the above, and mint has a version that's a lot closer to bleeding edge now.:gura_sus: 1e+6 litres :flag_china: and New Janny in Town like this. -

@MK2boogaloo @kilostere I still use it on a VM to play this. It's literally the only game I've found that doesn't work. :gura_sus: 1e+6 litres :flag_china: and New Janny in Town like this. -

@kilostere same here, for me it just works, the one exception was when mupdf was outdated so zathura-mupdf broke, but by the time I woke up they were up to par :gura_sus: 1e+6 litres :flag_china: likes this. -

@kilostere same reason all of Linux has. Because when shit goes wrong, and it will, often. It will take you hours to fix.
Plus the annoying 20+ step check list of dependencies you got to download (and find, manually) and hope are current everytime you got to download like say a new game or program, and you better know EXACTLY what it is you need or ur kinda fucked.
It's a pain in the ass. Here's hoping that rumored Steam OS is a thing and good and "it just works" (Go die in a ditch Todd Howard) with very little needed of the user.:awoo_tired: shotgun snuggler :clownpiece_smug: likes this.
