The order of operations rules dictate that we must first perform the division operation inside the parentheses before adding the result to 1. So, (6 divided by 2) equals 3. Then, we add 1 and 2 to 3, yielding an answer of 6. Therefore, the answer to (6 divided by 2) 1+2 is 6.

I 100% agree with your for casual mathematics, but if the split hairs (and that's what the problem want us to do) then the differences in conventions become a big issue for different domains (i.e. is 0 ∈ ℕ?) and it's important to chose terms which are mostly free of ambiguity in order not to confuse people :blobcathappy:
