     @Moon@shitposter.club this was based on nothing but angry forum posts, microsoft was already promoting ntfs by forcing its use in windows and dealing w/ vendors, this claim isnt just wrong, its obviously wrong. like, so obvious you'd have to be in the same mental state as the author to not notice, which is anger at not being able to make a >32G fat32 partition.
     
     either way, that's only a UI limitation. I think the actual limit via the command line is 2TB, but holy shit are ur sectors going to be huge then.

     Why is FAT32 limited to 32GB?
     
     Microsoft chose 32GB as the maximum partition size for a FAT32 file system. The main reason for this was to promote its new file system (NTFS), considered more efficient when working with large partitions.
