@arcana @gabi @sally @Cyrillic @meso @yomiel I think it's probably BS but if it's true they are abusing their market position -

@sun @arcana @gabi @sally @Cyrillic @meso @yomiel there's multiple reasonably large steam alternatives, if being exclusively on steam is so valuable to people, where's the abuse? -

@yomiel @arcana @gabi @sally @Cyrillic @meso @sun amazon is giving away games for free, gog is doing so too, epic is as well. they still can't compete with steam because they suck. -

Don't not read the thread then ask a question.
They've been accused of forcing price parity and telling off developers for selling games at a lower price elsewhere. That's abusing your monopoly power with mafioso tactics. -

@sun @arcana @gabi @sally @Cyrillic @meso @yomiel you said it's a monopoly but it isn't, it's easy to get by even as a gamer without ever touching it. i bought everything on gog until i had a steamdeck compatilbe thing, then having a game on steam became useful enough to buy it there. -

@lain @arcana @gabi @sally @Cyrillic @meso @yomiel it's almost hard to believe that anyone hates steam, and when you do find criticism of it, it seems like it can be traced back to astroturf campaigns by competitors.
