@nitinb why would you create an account on multiple hosts?

Nitin B (nitinb@mstdn.social)'s status on Tuesday, 27-Dec-2022 07:16:54 JST Nitin B @hansvl there are some hosts like hachyderm.io or infosec.exchange that have focused tech communities. You can’t possibly follow everyone on there if you are on a different host but if you are on that host you can watch the local feed and get all the wisdom of that mini crowd. Just an experiment I am doing.

When you subscribe to it, you'll see a stream of all posts from that instance (local and federated, but public).
You can subscribe to as many remote timelines as rate limits allow. By default, most instances have it on. Public relays are a great way to try an instance before signing up for it because you get an idea for how interactions will work.
