     @SuperSnekFriend @Goalkeeper That and blowing up Alderaan are basically the only things we see in the movies that solidify the idea that the Empire is actually all that bad besides being somewhat heavy-handed in dealing with dissent. And even that aspect is somewhat understandable given how shitty large swathes of the galaxy are.

     Qui-gon tried to push for some reforms, but the Council was too hard headed. Dooku know this and fucked off to side with Palpatine. If George Lucas didn't write Palpatine to be some moral monster, people wouldn't have sided with the Rebellion so easily.

     All the pre-Disney stuff is still there for us to enjoy and share. Once Lucas is gone, there is really no obligation for fans to have some kind of truce with Lucasfilms and Disney. Just say "fuck you" to the Jew Mouse and the rotted LF then make your own Star Wars stuff at that point.
