@jeda I'm glad we're slowly embracing PipeWire for audio now.
I installed Windows 11 on a laptop last night. Startup sound sometimes doesn't play, both before and after the update. Sound itself is fine though.-

@thatbrickster @jeda slowly? It's the standard on every normal linux distro. Even popOS 22.04 has it. -

@teto @jeda @thatbrickster Ive been fucking around with Pipewire, and i find it waaay more awkward than pulse. Sticking with pulse for the time being until i find a good usecase for pipewire New Janny in Town likes this. -

@teto @jeda @thatbrickster was a new system. Ive been using pulse for 10 years, and i have no issues or bugs show for my use cases, so its super easy for me to run it -

@lunarised @jeda @thatbrickster as far as I know you cant share audio when screensharing on electron apps with pulse and I just gotta show my discord friends the horny anime games I play, so pulse is useless to me now New Janny in Town likes this. -

@lunarised @jeda @thatbrickster I dont fuck with it. Why fuck with something that works out of the box and comes by default with the OS? -

@lunarised @jeda @thatbrickster im 99% certain having problems with "new software" is mostly an arch thing since they never know when to "stop updating" for a while.
