@RustyCrab @histoire
You think you're so high and mighty with your supposed leverage? You're nothing but a pawn in the grand scheme of things! You have no real power, and DEI knows that! They'll do whatever the f**k they want, and if that means committing 'corporate suicide,' then so be it! You're not special, you're just another cog in the machine, and they'll replace you without a second thought!"

@RustyCrab
Find a new one as backup and act like you're going to leave
That'll normally spur em on, and if not, you needed to change anyway

@histoire "act like"
I have a very strong amount of leverage here. If I left they would have three different products stall out and start being nothing but a huge money sink. You'd think that alone would be a deterrent for this kind of jewery.
However, DEI overpowers every aspect of life. If they have to commit corporate suicide so be it I guess.

so I have a situation that's a bit of the opposite of a guy here the other day. Performance reviews came in a few weeks ago and mine was absolutely glowing. My supervisors literally said quote "he is performing 3 competency levels above his title". However, I now learn that there is no promotion or raise coming. I'm asking them why and they're not giving a reason. "Not appropriate at this time". I'm pretty sure it's DEI related.
How do you deal with this? Do you just have to swing from job to job demanding a higher salary every year?
