     Like, immediately you're presented with a massive brick wall that's gonna filter a lot of people: It's presented as an harem parody. the MC's bubbly little sister is apparently the chief of an organization that protect spirits, and the MC is going to have to date them and kiss them to seal their powers, helped by a group of losers on a flying ship
     
     ... And then the parody gets quickly serious about the harem shit
     
     It's very strange in a it wants its cake and eat it too way. Ultimately, the first two arcs are VERY meh but it gets better as the harem gets bigger (as it usually goes in these type of shows)
     
     I'd say it's pretty good but the initial weird wall is going to filter many

     @SerfnUSA @coolboymew First two seasons are great. Third is eh, though I like it better than my streaming buddies. Fourth is decent. The OVAs, especially the one where Shido dates a less deranged Kurumi are wonderful. The LNs and VNs are worth reading and playing too. I think the whole series keeps the balance between mahou shoujo action and romcom very well.
     
     Yatogami Tohka is best girl. Kurumi is very overrated, but she is stil a good girl nonetheless. Best side charater is Fujibakama Mii

     @coolboymew @SerfnUSA Yup! You can instantly recognize each girl and can see their personality and abilities with their appearance. Even the variations are recognizable and match the girls' themes, yet remain distinct with the main costumes. Even the Yamai twins have a good distinction between them.

     @coolboymew @SerfnUSA Without context, knowing about Tenka, or Tohka's inverse spirt form, looks like some alternate costume when she's angry wants to battle harder. You have to pay attention to the first season to get it. Same with showing the other girls, especially Mio. It's not so much of a spoiler as you don't know why they live in Shido's world nor how they interact with one another, which is the meat of DAL, unless you watch the show or read the LN's. :02shrug:
