     @GreatestGori @Minty I actually watched the sonic x shadow and frontiers playthroughs and she still very clearly holds a candle for him. The issue with sonic x shadow is that her opening line is changed to make her look more badass when she doesn't really need help with that considering she's part of the playable roster now
     
     On the other hand it does a few other things better than the og, like shadow obviously viewing sonic as more of a friend AND rival instead f just being an ass for no reason

     @Kyonko802 @Minty Yeah, Shadow's characterization in Shadow Gens is fucking amazing, loved that game. I think they're going the "strong wymen" path with Amy and it kinda makes me go eeeeeeeehh :ehhhh:

     @Kyonko802 @Minty Ian Flynn aye. I don't think it's that, having a serious story doesn't mean you can't have characters with strong personalities. And I mean, Sonic gens isn't very serious yet they still changed Amy to not show her love for Sonic (and also changing the scene where Knuckles calls Classic Sonic fat :cat_laugh: someone in the dev team was offended)

     @Ace66062 @GreatestGori @Minty He doesn't like the characters playing into their archetype in general. Frontiers' marketing was plastered with stuff like "Sonic's can do attitude will be tested"
     
     There's nothing structurally wrong with Frontiers' story, it just left no room for the usual levity when it should have had at least a little bit of it.
