     it's surface mounted and the pads are snugged under it. there's components and plastic connectors on the other side so can't put hot air back there. I'd probably still just blast hot air from top till it comes off

     @menherahair i unironically got one from aliexpress idk how much it costed my brother gifted it to me. At the first few minutes of having it on it smelled like it was burning its own internals for a while and then after a while it worked like normal.
