      @rat @ong if it works at all use bitlbee and install the xmpp plugin for it [i think it might come out of the box actually i dont remember] and just use your favorite irc client, much easier because there are actually good irc clients

      @mischievoustomato @rat it uses like 500mb of ram and 50% on my cpu compared to prosody that uses nothing not to mention conduwit was using 4gb of storage after barely using the server itself for like 2 months

      yeah development was slow for a while but i still chose it for my server when i had it, and aside from it taking a while to support new room versions, it was flawless. It literally just worked, 0 issues, barely any resource usage

      xmpp server software can be nice and all but it doesnt matter when all clients suck major ass and fail for whatever the fuck reason arbitrarily, and feel clunky to boot
