   Paxful has just announced they are shutting down.

   We are losing the centralized P2P trading arenas. There are some remaining and some on the dark web and then there is Bisq - a decentralized P2P app.

   But things are getting tighter and I can only suppose it's because of the threat of governments getting nasty.

   Make sure you have Tor, Lokinet, and Bisq. As well as any self-custody wallet apps you need to trade P2P from your own computer.

     @TylerAbeoJordan You can trade monero on bisq, but the underlying currency for the platform is bitcoin. Haveno is a bisq that uses monero as the base currency. It has been under development for a while and they were expecting to be live by now, but I don't think it's there yet.

     Monero is on Bisq isn't it? - at least last I checked.

     @TylerAbeoJordan one thing they did was get rid of the DAO (and bsq by proxy). BSQ lowers trading fees on bisq, but I think it comes at a cost of privacy. Monero fees are always low.
