Okay I’m caught up on the seven deadly sins manga that I currently own, what shonen next do I read more bleach (middle third of the series) or start one piece? Pretty sure I know what everyone’s gonna say but let’s hear it anyways.

@SerfnUSA the MC gets genderbended, so you may not like that.

@Ene I’ve tried a handful of genderbender themed manga and have yet to encounter one that affirmed transgender theory. They pretty much always completely reject it, in fact. The genderbending is a source of conflict only because it affirms the traditional understanding that the mind and soul are part of, not separate to, the body. The hero turned heroine is at war with herself because she has male memories and a lingering sense of masculine pride that must be discarded if she wants to find inner peace because the reality of human sexuality is that a woman is a woman, she has a womans mind and soul, reacts to things with a woman’s emotions, and is attracted to men with a desire to be a wife and mother. If genderbending manga affirmed transgender theory then the genderbending would be treated like any other permanent physical injury since “on the inside” it’s still a male, he’d chop his tits off, get testosterone and live as a man to go along with his male mind and spirit, male emotions, and (now futile) male desire to be with women and be a father.
Now, I will say that there’s no doubt that genderbending manga are tapping into the autogynophilia fetish (usually alongside tons of other fetishes) and in Japan the men seem to be able to nut to autogynophilia and then move on with their lives like with any other fetish whereas in America you have people coming out of the woodwork telling you that it means you’re a tranny, even though the manga are spiritually rejecting the tranny worldview on a fundamental level I know for a fact that these sorts of manga are used in grooming vulnerable kids into trannyism. So I simultaneously believe that genderbending manga is probably okay for me and anyone else who has a 0% to get trooned to read but having it around in America in our current social environment is like letting teens buy OxyContin over the counter.
