  @thor you must not spend too much time in the hospital. They tend to affect hospital patients more than anyone else because they are sanitization escapees from highly sanitized environments (also from overuse of antibiotics). If you have medical professionals in your family or friends they are probably more familiar.

  @thor call them what you want lol. They are genetic oddballs that don't die from the normal way we attack a particular microbe. One example can't metabolize alcohol so when hand sanitizer is used it doesn't kill it. Under normal conditions they can't survive because the normal bacteria of the same species outperforms it. I think it's a form of staph but I don't remember for sure.
  
  Another "super bug" is one that can cause gut problems. The fix? a fecal transplant (introduce healthy bacteria from someone elses shit)

  @thor I find this is a common problem. Many people are easily upset if the wrong language (not incorrect, but words they associate with an ideology) is used in a conversation these days. I was just telling someone else, I hate to cede language to ideologs. Words are useful, and I won't let someone else tell me which ones I can and can't use. I may not always pick the best words to use to convey an idea, but it seems like these days people just get hung up on the words and don't even try to hear/read what I am actually saying

  I believe relative context is required, and knowing the person/audience you're talking to is required to have the intended effect. Unfortunately, most people don't see eye to eye on most things and are hung up on their own tangent of reality.

  @lucifargundam @thor there is also an understandable aversion to words that are generally used by opponents to politicize or excite the base around an idea. I get the aversion, but I also think it's not much different from self-censoring.
