   I was in a party the other day, and a guy kept telling me to
   "Add bugs into my code on purpose"
   this was supposedly to "have more work later so they contract you again"
   But I was thinking like, suppose you do that and instead of a project of one year you spend two years, wouldn't it be better to just find another project to work on?
   I mean by the year two, you'd have finished two projects instead of one, means more experience

     @waifu Right mate. Now, I'm a big proponent of get away with as much bullshit as you can to make your life easier, but that's kind of like for corporate bullshit
     
     for the primary function of your career, for example in your case the dev work, you are doing yourself a disservice by not at least trying to perform well
     
     performance is also a skill, you'll learn how to be more efficient by trying to do it

     @waifu "wow so many bugs, this contractor sucks" is also a potential route it could go, but that kinda depends
     
     to cover your ass it's just easier to be genuine and do work to the best of your ability, and yeah two projects over two years is usually better than one

     i only actually work like once or twice a week
     i used to work more but it just leads you to losing your job
     if you finish a 6 month project in 2, they wont be paying you for all 6 you know
     theres no reward for over working yourself
