   This little Junkers just got announced last week and…..I can’t stop wanting it a little big. The corrugated alum looks awesome, vintage german aeronautica is rad.

   Just can’t do anything with it, would need a bubble canopy too. But I just learned about it so you’ll see more pics of it while I window shop okay? It doesn’t look great from every angle but tthe construction looks so damn cool

     NVM it’s $200,000 for a pre-made plane. no thanks, you can get something really capable for that price. The way my fren described it made it sound like it was a much cheaper DIY kit. That would e better because you could mod it easier.

     Company is insanely expensive, really.

     @Boomerman By default aircraft are all made by white men, though. Most just love it so much they slash costs to the bone. This biplane is nice and all, but it’s not that far removed from the $50,000 kitplanes they’ve been turning out in the same vein forever, you’re just buying from an old boomer in a small rural garage instead of New English faggottown

     This is like cirrus to me. Glitzy, glossy, and overpriced. They’re hunting a segment of the market to some success, and I’m just not in it

     @node I think it’s been out in germany for a while. What it really needs is one of those czech radial engines, that way it really looks period accurate. I do surprisingly like the little snubnose on this one, though….weird how well it works.

     I think I actually like how it looks up close more than I do far away. There’s something about all that corrugation, seeing each rib intend right before slipping under a cap that’s just hypnotic.

     So you could get this thing for about $200k, or you could go for a kit like this for 1/4 the price. Could do build-assist or whatever if you don’t have the time, but still. The design’s cool but about $120,000 more than I’d be willing to sink on something so niche and boutique unless I lived somewhere very, very pretty
