   As a Dutch person there is much more value to say you are European, than saying you are White. When you say you are European it grounds your identity to a concrete place (the Netherlands, which is in Europe), to a specific ethnicity (the Dutch, who live in Europe), and to a long and concrete history (the one of the Dutch in Europe).
   
   None of these things occur when you say you're White, instead of European: White is an abstraction of an identity based on concrete people, places, and history. White is an idea that erases ethnicity, borders, and discards history to make room for something universal, something global, something that wages war against the real identity of Europeans.

     @irie The issuse is that Americans were pysoped back in the 50's to get rid of being american or some other ethnicity (the 1964 cival rights act was part of this)

     The same applies to Aryan, another meaningless, rootless, ambiguous term embraced by larpers and grifters. White and Aryan are meaningless concepts disconnected from place, ethnicity, and history (every other clown claims it): empty husks devoid of meaning, romanticized and fetishized by those uneducated about their roots and real identity.

     @dcc It truly is sad. It's even sadder to see Europeans today adopt this mental illness that disconnects blood from soil and history. The postmodern 'It's all just a personal choice dood' lurks behind the supremacist posturing online, hiding a deeper insecurity exactly because of this disconnect to tradition and culture that binds the biological to the social and historical.
