@AsukaNeko @theorytoe @BowsacNoodle @LordOfTheKangs well East Timor was a bit special, instead of the Dutch, the Portuguese controlled the nation. So it has a predominantly Catholic populations who speak Portuguese. Papuans meanwhile speak Indonesians, although they're different racially.
Most Indonesians came from the Austronesian race, sailors who came from Taiwan which later made colonies as far as the Madagascar. They have brownish skins, but more on the lighter spectrum. Meanwhile the eastern part of the country is inhabited by Melanesians, I don't know their origin but they have different skull length, darker skin complexion. You could compare them with the Abos in Aussie.

Yes I think it's better for them to be under the Indonesian banner, the same case with Canada and Australia being part of Britain, or just East Germany uniting with West Germany. If I'm the president, I would launch a total war of conquest and domination against Malays, Pinoys, Singaporeans, and Brunei. It's what the hero, Hitler, would've done if he's Indonesian after all.
Well for one Aussies should just keep their hands away from our possession and instead focus on strengthening themselves. They should unite with NZ for obvious reasons, if they want to make an empire, it's possible as well.

What genocide? Against whom? The Dutch only managed to control all of Indonesia less than 100 years. Even then if you love Abos so much that's on you, I've interacted with Abos and pacifying them is the best solution.
