     @Frondeur median hourly wage in 1980 was about $4.50 which would buy 9 big macs
     
     median hourly wage today is about $25 which will buy 3.1 big macs

     @deprecated_ii I don't really understand this metric...only like 1-2% of people work at the minimum wage today...whereas in 1980 it was like 15%...It's too much work to make this a more sensible comparison...
