Hot Take: Nepotism is very good, actually. We need to return to nepotistic thinking in the West. It's only when family blinds themselves to a relative's flaws when it becomes a bad thing.
The only place where nepotism should probably be discouraged is the Church. Even then, the Bible shows how much families are involved with ecclesiastical function, even in the New Testament period. John and James bar Zebedee were most likely cousins of Christ, and Jesus' half-brothers helped run the Jerusalem church, including writing two books of the NT.

if you're in a position to get your family and friends good jobs, refusing to do so doesn't make you ethical, it makes you a piece of shit
