@cyberspook it's really weird. It's setup like a rhythm game, but the rhythm aspect of it doesn't quite matter that much. Basically you have cards stats that are equal to attack, HP, etc. Every note brings down your total HP. You have healer/shielder cards, attacker cards, "magic" cards (skill up and SP up cards), you have a super that builds up (SP)
There's special notes that does some stuff (stats up/down, damage, gives SP, etc) and some conditional parts of the song where if you fail, there's consequences, but if you do it, there's score
Rhythm games and VNs do not surprise me. But an RPG sounds somewhat interesting. Especially due to them being idol singers. I can't even imagine it, what is it? A Pokemon clone perhaps?
If there's an RPG with Vocaloids also I will be mindblown.
@cyberspook Unfortunately that format actually really works with gatcha design. Although I suppose to could build a decent RPG like this if you really tried
Actually, there's something like this existing, but with DDR
oh man, I use to love DDR/Stepmania, but lately I can't even be bothered to fire it up ... maybe this will get me back into it .. should probably try Dance of the Necromancer too.
