     I came back yesterday and was delighted to see that the login process is easier for normal non techy users and many news sources are available either on mastodon.social or flipboard

     @arstechnica To be clear, being "non-profit" doesn't guarantee anything. Case in point: Mozilla. They just added a section that isn't non-profit while keeping the front-facing stuff non-profit to solve that problem.

     Still, it is a good step in a good direction in this case anyway. It doesn't provide absolute guarantees, but it's at least a positive step.
