So I had a Corsair RM650x that's flakey and is headed for e-waste, but I wondered: How smart is this thing?
It's got a ton of different voltages and dynamic fan control and power-good signals and all that! How much smarts is this thing?

That's an 8-bit microcontroller, with 128 bytes of RAM, 3.5 kilobytes of flash, and runs at 16 mhz max. -

So presumably if they want to build a Smarter PSU they can just drop an ARM chip on here. Maybe they do, if you have one of the PSUs with RGB LEDs and such. -
