   @dmarti My company's response to generative AI is "hell no, we actually make things", so it's nice being able to respond to people asking "can you turn on this vendor's AI thingy" with "hard no, company policy".

   Occasionally I'll get "how far do I need to go up to get an exception?" and I'm like "Well, General Counsel wrote the policy. You could try his boss, the CEO."

     protip: if someone asks you to use an app that you won't use on principle, but you don't want to get into it, you can make up a security warning and say you're not allowed to install or open the app
