     The "hungry for a little bit" part really tickles me, coming from a food service background. People greatly underestimate how active the farming industry has to be all year round to keep up with demand from many clients, and how few days we have before all the fresh food runs out of the grocery stores, apart from being constantly restocked by agricultural and logistics firms throughout the whole world. It would take a couple of weeks, depending on how bad the looting gets, before the processed and preserved foods go as well. It takes more than a year just to establish a self-sustaining farm on half-an-acre and to harvest food for at most four to six people, already presuming you have the land and equipment.
