TintedKiwi (tintedkiwi@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 03-Jan-2025 18:27:19 JST TintedKiwi @itsfoss My experience with their new GTK app is mostly fine. I’ve not had any crashes or issues that prevent me from using it. The app is now included in the Arch Extra repository which is cool.
It did occasionally “forget” that I was signed in. Contacting support was a waste of time; just giving me the standard “Arch is not a supported distro” line. The AUR package was using the Ubuntu deb package 🙄
They should work on improving the startup; it takes a few seconds before anything is usable.

Robin Banks (bakedprivacy@closednetwork.social)'s status on Friday, 03-Jan-2025 19:05:22 JST Robin Banks @itsfoss I use a hybrid of ProtonVPN and MullvadVPN, both very good choices for VPN, strong data security and privacy protections.
Especially with Mullvad being able to pay with cash you essentially disconnect yourself from the account that is also a series of randomly generated numbers.
Both solid VPN's. Great suggestion.
