   This was my final test. Getting games that require RTP to work on steam so I could run Anthesis without it audio crashing. I am become autism, user of linux.

     Oh btw @Yakotarun the rpg maker guide we had is useless.
     
     Add the offending game to steam as usual. Install the RTP directly into the game files, merging audio and graphics and all that. Then go into game.ini with vim or something and delete the RTP check. No need to fish up outdated libs anymore.

     @Ronnie21093 They could have dropped native linux support in favor of focusing on one dev crew because proton makes it so native linux versions don't really matter unless the dev really wants to do it.

     @Ronnie21093 Yeah I checked protondb. No native linux support at all and it used to be scuffed completely, but now it works on proton-GE and proton experimental/hotfix

     @mischievoustomato Yes it's ero, and RTP was a very old and outdated way of handling rpg maker games. Back in ye olden days people didn't want to download 1 gig games, so the RTP was a baseline of data that the games shared collectively. You would download it once and be able to play any games that used an RTP requirement to cut their download size.
     
     Unfortunately, while a good short term solution, this has lead to a few problems now that download size isn't really the issue it once was. MV was the first to not use this way of doing things.
