     @nixCraft Which one is "The Linux Desktop" though?

     I think a big part of the problem with adoption is that people don't understand how much of Windows isn't Windows-only.

     Interfaces carry over 99% intact. It's not like switching to Linux is a completely alien environment, different in every way. Most desktop environments on Linux are more like Windows than Mac is.

     @nixCraft Software that is in the commons COULD be. Software that isn't SHOULDN'T, without a good reason..

     If software has to be used or teached, knowledge about the difference should be at least acknowledged!
