     @monsterislandcolonizer @Groomschild Started BC at 13 “for my acne”, long-term malnourishment eating crap zogslop and halfheartedly eating only stuff that looked “healthy” in between breaking down and eating whatever for 1-2 days a week.

     I dislike how everyone wants to give a name and Dx to every symptom under the sun, it’s like it absolves them of any control, or power to change their own health and turn things around the moment they say “Oh, I have __“

     @monsterislandcolonizer @Groomschild Week one of her moving in I force-fed her bacon to get her over her silly cosmopolitan magazine ideas of health. After a year of eating eggs a lot, more vegetables, fish, meat, etc her hair had the lustrous sheen of my boss’ prize-winning show dog

     The worst is "anxiety"
     What the fuck does "I have anxiety" mean?
     I can accept "I get anxious about certain things", but "I have anxiety" is unacceptable.
     
     Also, I always feel a pang of misery when I hear about women getting their fertility obliterated by the enemy.

     @Groomschild @monsterislandcolonizer @WashedOutGundamPilot They literally do put plastic in the water. As part of the process of flocculation in water treatment plants they mix a slurry of water and polyacrylamide into the raw water. The idea being this will aid in formation of “floc” which is the suspended particulates and other contaminants in raw water clumping together with the plastic and rapidly settling to the bottom of the sedimentation basin, where it is pumped out as sludge. The processed water is then run through large basins filled with filter media where the remaining contaminants are filtered out. But I’m sure that at least some plastic gets through.

     I swear it makes a diff. When I first moved out I only had a little vague understanding of it from school, after a year or so I realized I’d felt better than ever, I’m sure my test went up from city water

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Groomschild @monsterislandcolonizer I use a berkey water filtration system on all the water I use for cooking and drinking. For what it’s worth, our flouride injection system is down, has been down for over a year, and nobody seems to care about fixing it.

     So I guess I can take out the flouride filtration cartridges for now.

     @john_rando @Groomschild @monsterislandcolonizer For a while I did the cheesy filters, or just used my backpacking one. Seems like everyone I know uses distillers around here, our water’s pretty hard. Get like, a teaspoon of silt out of every gallon
