     So sorry to hear this. In 1980 I had the choice to go work with Ronnie Duggar at the Observer or go to SF to work at the Bay Guardian. I chose the latter, but it was a tough choice—the Observer for decades has done hard and good work.

     @wmclark Fuck, no! They've been one of the best publications on Mastodon, and an awesome mag for decades before that.

     Meanwhile, much as I love @sewellchan (who used to be an editor at WHYY), neither he nor @texastribune have kept up with their fediverse accounts since creating them in November.)
