     I have a phone from 2019 that's still fast as fuck and flashing lineage OS on it was pretty easy, so I'm not switching anytime soon, still gets updated unlike the stock rom. I just replaced the battery a year ago.

     sd855plus and 12gb ram which is pretty overkill but I got this thing on a discount for 400~ bucks and I'm still using it after 5 years so not bad

     Ah I got you. Idk if lineage recovery has a data backup function but you can use TWRP for that.

     @dushman they have instructions on the site. it just requires me to go backup everything, cause i have to check / possibly update lineage recovery, and then heimdal shit, and then wipe the partitions and install 23, and restore or something. its a huge pain in the tits which is why i just haven't done

     @icedquinn yeah, you just flashed a custom recovery image, then you flashed a zip file with your rom of choice and you flashed whatever stuff you wanted on top.
     Now you have to deal with weird partitioning scheme for the system images in order to get stuff like magisk to work. By the way, google killed magisk, fuck them. :neocat_middlefinger_double:
