   @leo I see I see. I think I meant it more in the sense of "writing software to change the OS" vs "writing software to run on that OS", so I guess this is more like writing a system-DLL

     @foone but also sysmodules not being kernel modules isnt just a semantic thing. calling them that implies that writing one is significantly different from writing regular homebrew which isnt the case
